HP Pavilion Slimline s5000 Series
MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
PEGATRON CORPORATION NARRA5 (Socket AM2 )
basicly looking to upgrade this computer but looking for a proccessor with some power to it.
seen some stuff here and there about am2 slots being able to use am3 proccesors with a bios upgrade and this and that.
i just wanna know if any am2+ / am3 processors will work with this computer.
i could just find a am2 proccessor but i dont trust any other sites then amd itself wich doesn make am2 processors anymore
newegg wich ofc cant sell what isnt made anymore
and tigerdirect wich is the same case.
if only i had the money to buy a pc with a newer am3 motherboard ;\

Hi,
These are the specifications for your PC (s5623w).
In theory, these AMD processors for the AM2+ socket rated at 95 watts should work. I would stay away from the "B" models.
Know what the return policy is before you buy.

jrotc_sfc,
It is best to fully identify the model #. What is the product code? It's like saying you own a Chevy?
