HP Recommended

The story is still not over.

The machine wouldn't start up, and Windows couldn't be reinstalled, so we had to send it back to HP.

They replaced the outside cover, so no more dents there, they left the dents on the inside and didn't replace the complete case. But I can live with that. It's poor service but I lowered my standards.

Powered up the machine, everything OK.

2 days later: Small green pixels appear on the screen.

Probably a graphics card problem. So we take the card, place it in another machine (HP Z 400), exactly the same problem.

Place another card in the Phoenix: No problem.

Contact HP (AGAIN!!!), ask if we can send the card back and have it replaced (I could place another card in the machine for the time being and use it). They want the complete machine back, it has to be shipped to Germany again.

It'll be probably be gone for a few weeks more.

So now I am at the point where the time I have lost not being able to use the machine, and the time I have lost testing the machine and contacting HP has surpassed the value of the machine itself!!!

There should be a customer warning on these machines saying that the HP on this box isn't the same HP that is on the workstations.
