HP ProDesk 600 G2 Mini
Linux

Im trying to install Ubuntu from a bootable usb into the ProDesk 600 G2 Mini. Legacy wont find the bootable disk. UEFI will let it boot into grub but any of the selections (Try ubuntu, Install ubuntu etc) prints out "efi: requested map not found" and "ESRT header is not in the memory map". What am i missing to be able to install a Linux OS onto the machine ?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

It's not a simple matter to install Ubuntu onto a UEFI machine --as this link attests: UEFI Installing - Tips

My suggestion, since this forum supports Windows PCs, is to post your issue to the Ubuntu Forums, as folks there have dealt with UEFI installations in some detail: Ubuntu Forums

Good Luck
