Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I bought my HP desktop with Windows 7 installed. I upgraded it to Windows 10 last year with no problems. My question concerns the HP Recovery disk. I have only 2.22 GB free of 17.8 GB. I can't seem to find any clear and simple ways to address this problem. My OS (C) drive has 1.68 TB free of 1.80 TB. I use a Lacie external hard drive to run backups through the Windows backup and restore.

I am worried about the HP Recovery disk running out of room. Can I make it larger, I have lots of free space on my C drive?  Are there any files such as deleted items or recycle bin items that I can safely delete? Are there old Windows 7 files that I can safely delete? Anything else that can be safely deleted or any regular maintenance that can free up space?

Thanks, Rob.

Hi,

Please don't touch to it and don't store anything on it, it will stay as it is and will never run out of space.

Regards.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. I do not use this drive for anything, so will not store anything on it. I was starting to worry as it seems to be getting full, and when I Googled this, it seemed that there were a lot of people whose PC's stopped working as they had run out of space on their Recovery drive. How will it never run out of space?

Thanks.
