I would like to check the detail part number such as harddisk, CPU, Ram..of my HP Z240 workstation. Base on that, I can make the plan to upgrade or order spare part. May i check it out on HP Website? My PC Serial number is SGH704xxx. If It can be found out here, please advise me how to do it.
Many thanks.

No, unfortunately you can't.
This is the HP peer-to-peer Global Support forum and not like contacting HP directly.
This is not a business unit of HP, so we do not have access to the advanced HP tools that the HP Service Centers do.
There are ways to find out what is in your PC.
The HP Quickspecs document shows all of the configurable options that could have been delivered with your desktop from the factory.
You can use the Device manager to see which hard disk and video solution are in use or installed. If you are familiar with the procedure you can use the PCI\VEN identifiers to cross reference all of the devices that the operating system sees as installed. That is an advanced method for enthusiast users.
You can use the BIOS system information tab to find other information, such as the FCC ID of your wifi adapter, if one is installed.
You can download and use CPUID's CPU-z utility to determine which memory modules are installed, the installed processor and socket type see and what the video card has onboard.
Postong serial numbers of HP products is considered something which violates your privacy.
A Moderator wil probably remove it.
You can use the HP Partsurfer to see which parts are cmpatible with your HP product.
Use the product number of your workstation instead of the (HP Z240 workstation) product name for ease and accuracy.
