HP Z240 Workstation and M.2 slot compatibility

HI:

I just purchased teh Z240 tower workstation, and one of the selling points was the M.2 slot.

I purchased a 256 M.2 SSD with (I believe) a SATA interface.  I am wondering if the Z240 does not support SATA over M.2, because the computer is not recognizing it.

It's a Micron MTFDDAY256MBF Which I believe is the OEM version of a Crucial device - I picked it up at Micro Center.

Any Ideas?

Thanks for your quick response and link to the Crucial tool

Unfortuantely, the tool did not report on the M.2 interface.

I also have all the HP relevant manuals but they do not seem very clear.  From the part you referenced, do you think it means that only PCI is support?  If so, that may be the problem, as this is a SATA interfaced drive.
