the dell T7920 does not come with a onboard raid chip, it has a "OPTIONAL"  9640 card

it is also available WITH the intel VROC semi raid option

feel free to read the dell specs on this system,.. the base system does not come with any add-in raid card or motherboard based raid chip

as for the Lenovo P620 system, it uses a motherboard based "ROC" chip which is why it's bios has support for a raid subsystem currently no add-in raid cards have been certified by Lenovo  as such it has no support for merging in any pci-e cards raid bios into it's motherboard bios

as for JONAHK's" post i am well aware of the Adaptec/Microsemi (now part of Broadcom) based raid cards i personally use/like the pci-e 2.0 based 6000 and pci-e 3.0 7000 series (like the 71605 16/24 port) cards for their JBOD/Raid support they have all of the LSI's feature set in a true raid card that has cache/battery backup and are much faster than the LSI 9240 based cards however if all you need is raid then the mid/high end LSI raid cards are much faster than the Adaptec 6/7 series
