HP Z800
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Adding a couple of SSD's to my Z800 which had SAS 15K drives.  Was using the onboard controllers.  Want to have my 6gb/s drives transfer as fast as possible so I'm hooking them up to a LSI card that can theoretically handle 6gb/s.  Used this setup on a XW8600 that I just sold and it worked much faster than the onboard setup.

Question:  The blindmate cables are too short to reach the card - is there a HP part no  that has longer cables or should I just use a SATA extention?

Never have seen a HP solution for your question..... I'd use high quality SATA extension cables.

Thats what I figured - ordered one this afternoon.  Was cheap - hopefully not cheaply made.    They should have allowed for a sata cable to be plugged into the Blindmate instead of the cable molded into the connector or just given us a foot more of cable.
