My monitor has been great and working fine for 2 years(?) until this week when the monitor's "Quick View" window pops up and just continually scrolls.  At first I thought it was a virus of some sort but anti-virus says no.  Sometimes I can get the window to go away temporarily by pressing and holding down the power button (also note that the power button will no longer turn off the monitor, I have to unplus the power cord to power off the monitor) and/or press and hold the menu button.  Anyone care to help me troubleshoot this odd problem?  I certainly can't leave it like this since it's exceedingly difficult to consistently get any work done.  TIA!

Check all the buttons on your monitor to ensure that they are not stuck.  Do the buttons "feel" OK when they are depressed?

I thought of that, but the buttons feel fine.

If you have access to another PC then try the monitor on tht PC to determine if the monitor is the problem or the PC is the problem.  I suspect that your monitor is faulty.

Try a monitor reset. Power off the PC and monitor. Unplug the monitor and hold down the monitor's power button for 30-60 seconds.  Plug the monitor back in and then power up the system.

I was frustrated by the rolling QuickView Screen too. I just sprayed the switches with contact cleaner and waited. Then pressed MENU button and its gone. Hope this helps somebody.
