Sounds like an issue with the motherboard. Do you know if the computer is still covered under warranty? If you are not sure have a look at this link.

I am going to try getting a new graphics card. If I get a gt650 will the 350 watt psu handle it? If not what about the gt 640?

The 640 calls for a psu of a minimum of 350 so that might work, and I didn’t find the GT 650, but a GTX 650 which requires at least 400 watt psu. The GT650M is a GPU for a notebook. I also included the spec sheet for the 640 below.

i have a hp w2207h as well but mine will come on show me the screen for like one second then black out ? i tried the hard reset and have hooked up other pc's and my ps3 and they all show for a second then black? if i turn the power off then on again i can see the pc screen and ps3 but black. i love this monitor and would really like to know whats wrong.
