Please look at the following documentaiton.

http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c03346552/c03346552.pdf

Even though you followed as same as in this documentation and still have the problem, please call HP Support and escalate it.

yes, that is the document that Hp provides and i am familiar with it. However, the Intel AMT Configuration menu still does not show the KVM option.

i have the same problem. any update on this issue ?

What is the version of Intel ME? If you have older than v 8.1.10.1286, please update it and test again. If you still have the problem, please call HP Support and escalate it.

I missed your statement that you're using the latest version of Intel ME. Please escalate it to HP so that HP escalation or R&D teams can investigate this issue.

John and Geoff,

There is a more recent updater that was released for the Zx20 workstations just last month, August 2013, as SP62834.  Perhaps that might help?:

"VERSION: 9.0.0.1287 Rev. A
DESCRIPTION:
This package contains the Intel Local Management Service (LMS) and Serial-over-LAN (SOL) support for the Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) in supported workstation models that are running a supported operating system. This software is part of the Intel Digital Office Initiative.

PURPOSE: Routine
SOFTPAQ NUMBER:  SP62834"

i tried to do upgrade for INTEL AMT, but it ask to set jumper to ON Position. Could someoen help me to find where is required jumper on this model workstation: wm444et (z420)

Thanks,

I am having this same problem with a Z420.  Unfortunately, I think it is because the Z420 uses a discrete graphics card in a PCIe slot, and not an Intel Integrated GPU on the CPU.  KVM in AMT does not work with a discrete graphics card as far as I can tell through some scattered documentation.

HP Recommended

As far as I know, you can't have KVM if there is no integrated (Intel) graphics on the motherboard. Z420 doesn't have integrated graphics, and hence you won't see that option.

Thanks,

Sasi
