Yeah, I get that about the motion.  But, I'm talking about clicking and moving and typing all at once.  I have an FPS where the mouse "buttons" are the shoot commands.  But, my Envy doesn't have mouse buttons, you just tap on the pad to click.  But, when I'm trying to move and pan and shoot, the tapping function doesn't work; it's like it's blocked in the same way that SmartSense blocks moving the mouse while typing.  For this reason, I was asking if there is a similar setting for tapping to allow clicking while typing.

Your smartsense settings should look like this, then you would be able to click and move the mouse while typing.

The image you uploaded is not visible, it's just a triangle.

Did you mean to upload an image that looked like this?SmartSense.png

As you can see, I've already turned SmartSense off, but it still doesn't let me click while moving and "typing."

I've a similar problem with a Notebook 15-af066sa. Havinig turned off the Palmcheck as described, the issue is now that when holding down a key the mouse pointer will freeze after 1 second and only move when the key is released.

Note that the cursor (directional arrow keys) don't cause this issue, but key such as AWSD do.

Any ideas?

Did you end up solving this? I have the same laptop and the same problem down to a T.

I have not been able to solve this, still can't play my games because it won't let me run and pan at the same time.  Never had this problem on my old laptop.

How incredibly sad..  I have an HP 15 with Windows 10 with the same issue...  Cannot play any of my games because most require using the mouse and keys at the same time.  Very sad there's no working fix for this.   I have to use an external USB mouse which throws me off because I'm so used to using the touchpad.   RIDICULOUS.

Dude, I may not use Windows 10--- but you seriously couldn't go back a page or read the other guy's post that both contain a picture of HOW to adjust the SmartSense?.....

Dude. Seriously, go back to page one, look at my post-- or scroll up on This page and see what the other guy posted.

But really, it's Windows+S -> Type: Mouse Settings and select the 'Change mouse settings' option that contains a picture of a mouse. From there, click the ClickPad Settings Tab (it has a little icon next to it) -> click ClickPad Settings -> select SmartSense -> some blue gears will appear next to it, click em -> then slide the SmartSense meter all the way to the Left/Off end.....

Ta-da! Now you can play League! 😛

...sorrry I got frustrated.

I've tried all the fixes above and others from different sites, and it just does not work.  Everything in the diagrams match picture perfect...  The mouse still hangs for a second after typing before I can move it, and it still won't let me use the touchpad and keys simultaneously.

I'm having the same problem. I went to the mouse setting and turned off the SmartSense and although there is only a small delay now between typing and using the touchpad, it still won't let me use the touchpad and keys simultaneously either. It's extremely annoying!
