Ok. I don't even have a question. I figured out the answer to my question on my own, so SHABOOYAH!!! 😄 I just want to be of help to anybody else who comes across this problem because there is not a SINGLE dang straight forward answer about how to pin a web page shortcut to the taskbar!!! I added Pandora with ease before I upgraded my HP All-In-One to Windows 8 or whatever upgrade it was (Done in 2015). Something changed after the upgrade and made it a pain in the butt just trying to drag a webpage and add it. Even when I clicked on the menu bar beside the webpage (in the web browser) and tried to add the webpage by clicking the PIN TO TASKBAR button it didn't work!!! URGH. (I was using Google Chrome at first and I thought it may have been because Google was in cahoots with Apple and didn't let HP users do easy stuff like that, but I tried it with Internet Explorer as well and no dice..
Ok anyway here's how you do it:
So you take the webpage from the browser (you do this by clicking on the little icon beside the URL [usually the icon of the company, a blank page, or a lock if it's secured] and holding it) and drag it to a blank space on your desktop. Ok now you've made the shortcut! So now... take the shortcut and drag it to the START button (on HP's it looks like a window (4 boxes)) it is in the FAR LEFT CORNER ON THE TASKBAR. This will pin the shortcut to your start menu, so open your start menu and voila! your shortcut's button is on the menu list.. so NOW you can right click it and the ever so convenient "Pin to Taskbar" option is on the list of options. Click that button and BOOYAAAA your button is right where you want and need it! Success!! Aren't you lucky you had me to help ya out? Cause I had to figure that sucker out by MYSELF (after trying literally every other dang option...
The steps are similar for Windows 8.1 and for Windows 10, as well.
