How to change search engine?

I just purchased my first HP laptop. It is my first laptop ever, it's an HP Pavilion. I don't know how to change the default search engine from Bing, I want to use Google. Help?

Kate, welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on your first ever HP laptop!  I am certain that you will enjoy using it.

If you left click on the far left of the Search box, you should get a drop-down menu of the Search Engines that are available.  Select "Google" and it will become your default.

@Sammie888, welcome to the forum.

I am not familiar with that search engine.  Therefore, I presume that it is not in the US and I am not certain that Windows is the same.

For future reference, it is always best if you start your own thread instead of posting on an existing thread.  Once a thread has been closed many of the HP Experts will not read it.
