I recently bought my PC. It came with the option to install Win 10 Pro, but factory settings had it downgraded to 7 Pro from the beggining.
I upgraded to 10 Pro but, of course, the recovery partition 😧 is made to restore to 7 Pro, and the upgrade deletes the HP Recovery Manager and the HP Recovery Media Creation apps. The advantage is that the rest of the drivers and HP Software were kept without any problems.
Nontheless, if I decide to restore to factory settings (should I need to) it will restore to the 7 Pro and I would have to go through the process of upgrading to Win 10 Pro again.
¿Is there a way to create a new recovery partition (or USB recovery media) that will restore to my current machine status, that is, with Win 10 Pro and the HP Software that the upgrade kept on the PC?
¿Will the Windows Create Recovery Media do that? ¿Will the Windows Create System Image do that? ¿What's the difference between this two?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Please try:
My normal "practice": clone the whole HDD/SSD as backup and I can swap any time. I even do this for all my machines, once a quarter.
Regards.
