Hi,

I'm trying to disable Intel Speedstep on my machine. I've heard that it's accessible through the BIOS menu, but I've looked through every menu on there, and I can't find anything labeled Speedstep or EIST.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

Leave speedstep on, it is designed to run as low as it can depending on the apps you are running, run prime95 and you will see it ramp up cpu to 2.3GHz.  I see no reason to turn it off.

If you really want to or need to, do so in the Power Options, see this:

I've heard that it's a helpful tweak when using the computer to record audio, which I'm doing.

Thanks for your help!  🙂
