I connected my HP Folio 13 laptop to my HP 2311x monitor through HDMI. However, I don't get any sound from my laptop's speakers (the monitor doesnt have internal speakers).

 

How can I get the audio to work?

Hi,

 

Since the monitor does not have speakers, no point to enable HDMI sound, please disable it:

 

(a) Right click the speakers icon,

(b) Open Playback Devices,

(c) Right click and Disable HDMI sound:
