I have some 8200 Elite Convertible Minitowers, BIOS is version 2.21. WOL works now, but how would I go about turning it off?
I found a post in another thread that said you could enable/disable it from the Advanced menu, but there's nothing in Advanced about Wake-on-LAN.
Thanks!

How did you get it to work in the first place?
I can't seem to get WOL to even work on the 8200, and like you said there's no option to enable/disable.
Anyway to disable it I understand that going into Bios and picking Power, Hardware Power Management, then enable "s5 maximum power savings"
That disables WOL when its enabled to get below the wattage limit for places that need that.

Hi:
Table D-12 of the service manual provides the troubleshooting steps to enable WOL for the various operating systems.
It starts on the bottom of page 287.

To get it to work, I installed BIOS version 2.21, and then sending a WOL packet works to turn the system on. However, as noted, I can find no options to configure or disable it anywhere.
However, I did test your suggestion, and yes, indeed, enable "S5 Maximum Power Savings" does prevent WOL from working.

While that document does mention disabling the "S5 Maximum Power Savings" option mentioned earlier in this thread, it also says that the following is possible:
Enable the S5 Wake on LAN option in Computer Setup.
Select Advanced > Device Options > S5 Wake on LAN.
However, this is NOT possible, as there is no "S5 Wake on LAN" setting under Advanced > Device Options.

If anyone ever comes across this old post, I solved it on an 8200 running Windows 8 by changing this setting http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2776718 ....like the above there was no WOL option in the BIOS, but this power setting did the trick for me
