I want to be able to run Hyper-V on my desktop for test purposes and although the SecurAble app says the CPU supports it I cant find where to enable it nor could I find any how to on the HP support site.

I'm running windows 8.1 enterprise on the box.

The BIOS is L01 v02.18 and ME firmware 9.0.20.1447

Can anyone point me in the right direction to get this enabled?

Cheers

David

Hi, David:

I don't have your machine but on my 8200 Elite business desktop, the enable VT setting is in the security menu.

Thanks Paul,

I found it in the security menu sub menu security options. Bizarre spot for it.

You're very welcome, Daivd.

I think they put it there because of the past security risks when enabling VT.

Those risks have all but been eliminated nowadays, but I guess that HP still does not want to have VT enabled by default.
