Hello. I have noticed that thew newest version of the bios for the mother board: "IPIBL-LB" is version 5.39. However, this version cannot be found on the HP website, and seems to only be pre-installed on new PCs.

"BIOS Date: 05/06/09 11:31:10 Ver: 5.39"

Proof of the existence of the new BIOS can be found at the following links:

The newest BIOS for the IPIBL-LB that can be downloaded is:

Could an HP employee please post a link to the 5.39 BIOS, or if anyone else can find its download location, please feel free to post.

Thank you!

RZ, what is the make/model of your computer?  With this information I will check to see what I can find.

But as you can see, the newest posted version on the support page is 5.32.

RZ, since the BIOS was released in May of this year, if they were going to make it available to you it would have been done already.  It no doubt is not compatible with your system.

Thanks for your opinion.

However, they are physically the same motherboard. Also, despite 5.35 and 5.37 not being made available for my model, they were both flashed successfully, with no issues. I suspect 5.39 would also work just as fine.

I'm not sure as to the exact nature of this forum; will there be an HP employee who will give an official response here on this thread, or should I make a ticket with standard tech support?

There will not be an official response, as this is a user forum.  You can contact HP support...but I doubt you'll find them helpful on this issue.

Why are you wanting to update the BIOS?  Are you experiencing a problem?
