If a video graphics card goes bad how do you replace it with no display to install the new drivers?

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

 

Basically, you go into the BIOS to ensure that any onboard video is disabled before attempting to install any drivers.

 

Once you do that, when you boot, you should be able to get into Windows (since it installs a default driver), albeit with much lower screen resolution (maybe) and from there, you can install the new video drivers.

Hi,

 

Your machine only has  Integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics which is part of motherboard/processor

The PCI x16 slot for graphics card would be empty. Monitor can display with new card installed using default Windows drivers and you can install new drivers later.
