RESOLUTION Install SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP2 (or later). As a workaround, HP and SUSE have created a kISO image for the customer to use in this scenario. The kISO is a special installer shim boot image that contains the patched kernel and driver update packages for the storage and network drivers. Perform the following to use the kISO image: Obtain the KISO image from the following SUSE URL: http://drivers.suse.com/hp/HP-ProLiant-Gen8 Non-HPE site Mount the kISO image via iLO virtual media or burn to a DVD and physically insert the copy into the media drive. Instructions are available on the kISO download site to setup PXE installations. Reboot to start the install. The kISO will eventually prompt to insert the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 base media CD #1. At this time, unmount or remove the kISO image, mount or insert the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 base media image or utilize a previously prepared network repository of the distribution and proceed. The installation will continue as expected. If the installation has already stopped responding, power-cycle the server to recover and then use the kISO image as described above to prevent this from occurring again. With certain combinations of package selections during the installation, additional actions may be needed as documented in the Customer Advisory SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 SP1 - Installation with kISO may yield mixed kernel version installations, located at the following URL: http://h20566.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03237879
