Hi there,
I'm in a bit of a catch 22, since a driver manager or windows update might be able to find the right one, but I can't connect to the internet, and to connect to the internet, I need the diver.
I have an ML350 G6 running a clean install of Win7 pro x64, and it will not recognise or connect to my network. I've tried plugging a cat6 ethernet in both ports on the computer, but to no avail. But, the network activity lights are lit on both the plugged-in port, and the front of the tower, and the switch recognises a device is connected. All my other computers connect fine, so the modem and switch are not the problem.
Device manager shows missing drivers for the network adapter, Base system device, and the IMPI interface.
The tray icon shows a red X, troubleshooter says there is no network adapter driver, and can not fix the problem.
Can you help me find and direct me to a downloadable .exe driver for this problem? I've tried searching HP support and the internet for several days but have come up empty. I can download it on another computer and then install it on the server through a hot-swap drive.
If you need more information, direct me where to find it, and I'll be happy to provide.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Sorry that ethernet driver didn't work.
See if this works instead...go to the device manager, right click on the broadcom ethernet adapter and select Uninstall.
Check the uninstall driver box.
Reboot and try the ethernet driver directly from Broadcom. This is for all operating systems.
You want the 64 bit driver (2nd grouping of adapters under the Drivers section).

The above driver must be manually installed as there is no exe file to install it with.
Download and unzip the file to its folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the ethernet controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on update driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs.
Hopefully that one will work.

Hi:
You'll have to try the Windows Server 2008 R2 drivers as there is no support for W7 for that PC.
There are a dozen model ethernet adapters listed on the support page.
Please post the hardware ID's for the devices, so I can try and figure out what drivers to recommend.
This will be for the ethernet controller and you can do the same thing for the base system device.
To find the hardware ID, go to the device manager and click on the device labeled ethernet controller.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the ethernet controller window.
Now you will see a Property drop down list and it will be set to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the 2nd item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that you see in the window.

You're very welcome.
See if these drivers work...if the auto install doesn't work, try the manual install method from the device and browse to the driver folder created by the exe file.

Great!
Both of them installed, and correctly display in device manager.
It is connected to the network, but won't access the internet.
It did connect to the internet for about five minutes when it first booted up, so I could syncronize the time, access google, etc, but stopped for seemignly no reason. I shut down and rebooted, and same issue.
My other computers can see it on the network, but it can't see them, and they can't connect to it or access it. (claims device is disconnected)
Local area connection #1 claims the cable is unplugged, (even though it's not), and local area connection 2 is disabled. I've tried enabling it, but it sticks half-way on the loading window and freezes.
The other thing, is device manager still claims missing drivers for the IPMI interface. The top string of the equipment ID is as follows:
PCI\VEN_103C&DEV_3302&SUBSYS_3305103C&REV_00
Not sure if that has anything to do with it, I'm just tellin ya what I can find.
