Media Center M8000
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The BIOS I currently am running is dated 2007.  I am having memory issues that manifest as errors with MSI permissions and registry interactions that result in system freezes and/or reboots.  I'm trouble shooting and the next step is to update the bios.  I'm running win 7 (64) and according to the bios my model is m8330f.  According to the sticker on the back of my PC my model is M8000: Whichever model number is the right one: I need a bios update and it is nowhere to be found on this site.  Where can I find the relevant bios update!?

In looking at the SUPPORT PAGE for that model -HP Pavilion Media Center m8330f is the model.  You are correct in the 2007 date and there are no BIOS updates.  While that is not an uncommon situation, OEM's may not put out a BIOS update if that particular model is actually working as intended.  The OEM's are not updated to accommodate newer hardware, etc just to update, like the retail manufacturers do.

I suspect the issues you are having are not from an out-of-date BIOS but other reasons.  I see you have already updated to Windows 7, so that is probably about that can be done reasonably.
