I have the Ivy Bridge due to the Processor I selected when Ordering my PC. The Selections were:
Core i7-2600 (Sandy Bridge) (95W) 3.4GHz
Core i7-3770 (Ivy Bridge) (77W) 3.4GHz
Core i7-3770K (Ivy Bridge) (77W) 3.5GHz <<<<---- My Selection
HP HPE h8-1360t
Intel i7-3770k
10GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB
Intel i7-3770k
10GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 2GB

Hi,
If the dimms in your PC don't match close enough and adjust to the differences to "bind up" then you are going to have issues.
