Hello, @RemoteDeck – Hope you are well 🙂

Thank you for becoming an HP Forum member. It is a great location to get help from the community, get suggestions and find what has worked for others.

I understand that you are having issues with your HP LCD monitor. Let’s first update the “HP MY Display” utility to try and fix this issue. Please go to http://hp.care/2hdHB2J to download and update this service pack. Restart your computer and the monitor and check for issue resolution.

If the issue persists, try connecting the monitor using the VGA input. The monitor is capable of using a VGA cable. So try connecting the computer to the monitor using a VGA cable instead of the HDMI and check whether that makes any difference.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Cheers 🙂

Hello @RemoteDeck,

Appreciate your efforts & thanks for the reply 🙂

It looks like the monitor is not working either with the HDMI or a VGA cable. To isolate the issue further, could you please try connecting the monitor to a different desktop / notebook and check the functionality. Or you can simply check whether the same computer is working with a different monitor.

If the issue is not with the computer, then I am afraid there is a hardware failure with the monitor and you might need to contact HP Phone support to get it repaired / serviced.

You can visit http://www.support.hp.com/contact-hp and fill in your product details to get the tech support number.

(1) Once the support page opens please select the country in which you're located. Next, enter your HP model number on the right.

(2) Next, choose the 'Contact Support' tab at the top and scroll down to the bottom of the 'HP Support- Contact' page to fill out the form provided with your contact information.

(3) Once completed click the 'Show Options' icon on the bottom right.

(4) Lastly, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select 'Get phone number.' A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

If you have any troubles, let me know and I will do my best to help.

Good luck 🙂
