HP 2210m monitor
My HP 2210m monitor won't connect via HDMI. When anything (multiple devices and cords have been tried) it either won't recognize that anything is connected or it will continually blink in and out or turn purple with no sound. Please help of possible!!

Use the buttons on the front of the display to select HDMI as the input source.  The onscreen display on the display will let you see which settings are currently in effect.

See the following PDF manual for your display. Open it in Microsoft Edge or use Adobe reader.

In order for the display to produce sound you must have the audio output from the HDMI capable video adapter installed in your PC or notebook selected as the audio source. You will need to do that on the PC or notebook.

The following image is an example from the Windows 10 desktop PC I am using for this thread.

HDMI is already set as the input source. It was working fine then suddenly stopped. When set to HDMI input and a device is connected via HDMI the monitor will not find the device or it will blank in and out, etc.

It isn't a matter of the display finding the PC. It is the PC the recognizes the presence of a  connection to the HDMI device via the operating system and HDMI capable video driver software.

You never stated which operating system the PC has installed. Please do that now so we can discuss this further.

Thanks for your help but it's not the PC. I have another monitor hooked up to the PC via HDMI now that is working perfectly. on the other hand I have hooked the monitor up to another computer, 2 different fire sticks, and my Xfinity X1 cable box. I have also tried 3 different hdmi cables and the monitor is not working in hdmi mode.

You are making this a frustrating exercise by providing only bits of information.

You should have taken the time to state that before.

Based on what you finally said, there is a problem with the display.

Contact HP and request warranty service. If the display is still in warranty HP will repair it.

Check your warranty status Here.
