I am adding a reply simply to cover anyone who searches and finds this issue posted ...

 

My issue seems to have been my APC UPS.

There was just enough draw from my PC that the power output of the UPS was intermittently failing.

What was VERY odd was that simply disconnecting my internal DVD drive in my 6005SFF was enough to stabilize it all.

VERY ODD!

 

But, then an electrical storm exposed my APC UPS was failing and failing miserably -- regardless the automatic AND manual self-tests the UPS passed.

 

I'll update this post if things change, but so far - knock wood - so good with my brand new APC UPS.
