My wifi keeps dropping out very randomly

I have been told I need to update the drivers, although I am struggling to find the correct updates.

AS we have properly understood your issue you  are facing issue in the WIFI issue in dropping:

Other devices operating on the same frequency (i.e. older cordless phones) can interfere and weaken the signal. Large household speakers placed in close proximity to your router can cause interference due to the large magnets inside. Try changing the Wi-Fi channel on your router.
