I have a brand new HP EliteDesk 800 G1 small form factor PC running Windows 7 - code H5T99EA. It doesn't appear to have a wireless adaptor - certainly none shows up in the Harware Profile.

I can only connect to the Internet via ethernet cable. I get no option to connect via wireless and my wireless router is not discovered when I try (nor are any other local wireless access points.

Do I need to download a driver for the wireless adapter - presumably there is one installed?

Thanks

John

Hi JPL99

Check the device manager (network adapter) or verifies device without driver

Thanks for your reply. There is no Wireless Lan adaptor in Device Manager | Network Adaptors, which is a surprise... Shouldnt one be included with a brand new PC? The only adaptor found is Ethernet Connection 1217-LM

Could it be a driver issue?

If wireless connection is essential, you can solve easily and cheaply with a USB wifi adapter.
