HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

Hi ,

last week we purchased 40 new HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower PC for our office with freedos OS.I try to install Windows 8.1 Pro 64Bit Operating system on Pc but pc did,t boot show Hp logo but not boot from any device show blank window.I m also try to boot from Press F9 key and choose Optical drive from boot and install windows. After choose optical drive show window blank i m also try from Bootable USB result same.

I open system side cover and remove wireless card (Tp-Link TL-WN78IND) From PCI Express x1 slot and try to boot from CD ROM this time system boot from cd rom and starting installing windows. this wireless card issue in PCI Express x1 slot.

I install this card in PCI Express x16 slot this card working fine and did,t create any problem when i install windows etc.

My Question is that why HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower PC system not boot when (Tp-Link TL-WN78IND) wireless card install in PCI Express x1 slot .

Thanks

Possible conflict between what TP-Link card requires (I/O, IRQ) and slot selected.

The issue is the TP-Link WLAN product, TL-WN781ND

I read all manual and all detail about this.Issue is still faceing when plug wireless card on 1x slot system show blank screen after choose boot menu.

The issue maybe with the specific TP-Link card (defective),

unless this happens on all 40 HP EliteDesk computers.

You need to troubleshoot (you have the parts) -- and "reduce" the Root Cause:

1.) TP-Link issue (one bad card OR incompatibility with this HP Elitedesk model)

2.) HP Elitedesk 800 (one bad motherboard/computer OR incompatibility with TP-Link card).

All 40 Systems not work when tp link card plugged in 1x slot but when plug this card in 16x slot system working smooth

but this time i am replace this card from 1x slot to 16x slot and install windows on all 40 systems.

but i will try my best to trouble shoot this prblm.

Regards

Jawad
