Bunion11, welcome to the forum.

When requesting help you should always include the make/model (i.e. p6-xxxx) of the computer and/or monitor. This information is necessary for us to review the specifications of them.

Your mother must be like my wife.  She dislikes computers very much.

You should count the number of beeps.  These are called BIOS beep codes.  They may tell us which component is not connected.  I can't see what you are holding very well, but it may be a video card connector.

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE. It beeps 5 times then stops for about 3 seconds then beeps another 5 times

Thank you for the additional information.  However, I need the full model of the computer.  Here is a guide to help you find it.  Please only provide the model or product number for the computer, not the Serial #.

Sorry, the product number is :    LC120AV#ABA

Thank you, that is exactly what I needed.

Here is the motherboard layout:

If you can see the arrow that I drew, does the connector look like it would fit the 4-pin ATX CPU port.  The BIOS beep code states that it is a failed major component on the motherboard, such as, the CPU/Processor.
