Hi Mrtree,

Welcome to the forum. You have a brand new HP monitor and a new ENVY PC. Great! New PC's are cool!

Can you provide the product number of your PC? Usually located on the left side panel of a desktop or on the bottom of a notebook. Turn the laptop/notebook over and look for the product number. Please do not provide the serial number. Some laptop/notebook models require removing the battery.

Did your system boot to the operating system at first boot? Clarifying this point because you stated you restarted your PC and the problem occured.

Additional information per above is required to provide additional assistance.

Hi,

You are using dual monitors. Please provide the make and model number of the installed graphics card. HP options for your PC are as follows:

.    Integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 (GT2) (supported by the processor)

  • GeForce GT 640 (4 GB)
  • GeForce GTX 645 (2 GB)

Not following your statment "  i have two screens and the second one booted straight up to my personal color, when i unplugged the primary monitor (the one that wasnt on) the login screen moved over, so yes everything with my PC is fine".
