I need to update my bios for my desktop-pc model h9-1120t motherboard Manufacturer: Pegatron IPMMB-FM BIOS Version/Date    AMI 7.09, 3/14/2012

 

I need to update it so i can upgrade my graphics card from a nvidia 550 to an nvidia 760

You should be able to install it if you disable secure boot in the BIOS before installing the video card.  [Instructions Here]

you going to follow up on this question? a LOT of people have issues with booting with windows 7 and installing new cards and i think its about time HP address it. thank you. on WINDOWS 7.

i really do not understand why HP does not issue an offical statement or info about this bios update.  in fact according to the product page they "may" have even taken down bios update downloads for mine and earlier PCs with this motherboard ...thankfuly i found it earlier.

 

there is an absolutely critical bios update for this motherboard that is listed for windows 8 , so those with windows 7 who does a seearch it does not show up, however it can be installed WITHOUT needing to install windows 8 first..............AND it allows you to install newer graphics cards.

 

without this update there is no way that Pcs with this motherboard can install new graphics cards which critically makes the pc out of date.    because with my setup otherwise its a good pc. the processer is still a decent one even 4 years later . and the memory is good and the hard drive space is good ...... and a decent power supply too...
