So my question is why isnt that motherboard compatible with ryzen, although its an am4 motherboard ?

It would have to be an HP Envy Omen X level setup considering that the Ryzen is definitely high end. 

 

An HP 500-000 series desktop is an entry to mid level consumer PC.

 

There is nothing wrong with wondering and hoping. 🙂

Yea but how about for example ryzen 5 1400. Or when the ryzens 3 comes out.  Those arent rly high end.

We will have to wait and see.

 

Your notebook is new enough that BIOS updates could add those processors to the list of upgrade candidate processors.

 

Keep an eye on the BIOS section in the drivers download portal for your desktop.
