Power on password

I would like your answer on the sigh-on password.  I have to put in a password each time I turn on my laptop.  I am not on a network, it is just me.  How do I eliminate this step?

Fhagan.

Use your password to enter BIOS.

Then go to all passwords that are set and use that as current password.

When asked for NEW password just hit enter.

If asked to CONFIRM just hit enter.

Save and exit.

After three failed passwords you should receive a halt code.

Post that code.

I don´t have error code, how can i generate it.
