ok so I figured it out. and was able to replicate it.

 

to start from scratch,  do an:

rm -rf /home/user/.ICAClient

 

then set up your connections in wfcmgr the way you want them.  when you close, it'll give you 2 files

appsrv.ini

wfclient.ini

 

you need to grab those files, and deploy them

also, 

I did a

chmod 777 /home/user/.ICAClient

chmod 644 /home/user/.ICAClient/appsrv.ini

chmod 644 /home/user/.ICAClient/wfclient.ini

 

that did it..

 

then you can replicate your custom connection that sits in the Thinpro control center.
