HP Recommended

Hello everyone,

we are currently preparing for our AVD rollout and have successfully installed both the Remote Desktop App and the Windows 365 App (MSIX) on our HP Thin Client T655 devices without any issues.

However, the same installation fails on the HP Thin Client T640 models.
The error message indicates that the Windows 365 App requires at least Windows 10 IoT Enterprise version 19044.0, while our T640 devices are running version 17763.5936.

We have already tried installing MSIX Core (v1.2.0.0) to enable MSIX support on the older OS, but unfortunately, it didn’t solve the problem.
Here’s the screenshot:

Both the Remote Desktop App and Windows 365 App are ready to be deployed via HP Device Manager (HPDM) for the T655 clients, but we would like to have the same setup for the T640 devices if possible.

Do you know if there is any workaround or HP update that enables the installation of the Windows 365 App on T640 devices?
Alternatively, is there an older or compatible version of the Windows 365 App that can run on build 17763?

Any advice or experience from other users would be highly appreciated.

Thank you very much!

Best regards,
