I purchased my desktop with factory installed Win 7 and the option of Win 8. I upgraded to Windows 10 8 months ago and need to restore Win 7 for my job. Obviously the 30 day grace period has expired. Is there a way for me to restore the originally installed Win 7 without having to purchase Windows 7. Thanks for your help.

I looked at: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pro-3500-microtower-pc/5270849
and HP does not offer for purchase a copy of the factory-installed Windows 7 system.
Check: www.ComputerSurgeons.com to see if they have that software for sale.

Why? What is their justification?
Windows 10 can do anything that Windows 7 can do.
It also has a "compatibility mode" designed to run older software, designed for Windows 7, under Windows 10.
Also, on January 14 2020, Microsoft's "sunset" date for Windows 7, you (and your employer) will need to install Windows 10.
Presumably, your employer should already be looking at Windows 10, instead of going into a "panic" at that "sunset" date.

Hi, @Clawdia
You have to order recovery media for HP business desktops and notebooks from HP, by telephone only.
If you live in the USA/Canada, call this number to order a set of W7 recovery media for your business desktop PC.
1-800-334-5144
Have the serial number handy to give to the customer services rep.
Ordering direct from HP may be a bit cheaper than ordering from the Computer Surgeons.
