Hi Everyone

I wonder if anyone can help me, I have bought a HP pavilio 23xi desktop and would like to use skype but cannot hear any sound?

Is this because I need to buy some speakers?  Sorry but I am not very technical and just finding my way around the desktop.

Could I use a headset with the computer - I have a plantronics headset?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

Just to clarify, the HP Pavilion 23xi is not a computer but is the model number for a monitor ( display screen ) that does not have builtin speakers.  There probably are no speakers connected with the actual computer, so headphones  - or headset - should work fine assuming they are plugged into the correct port on the computer.  It would be helpful to have the model number of the PC to offer any further advice.

Thanks so much for the info.  I have spoken with HP and as you say the Monitor doesnt have speakers.  I was wanting to use Skype and needed speakers but for now I will just use on my Ipad/Iphone until I go and buy the speakers.

Once again many thanks for your help.
