I don't understand it either because like I said, I had 4 d530s and installed W7 on all of them and had no problem with the sound.
But for me, Windows Update found the sound drivers for me.
Also that Vista driver should have worked or the one from the dc7100.
Just try running the Windows Update utility from the programs menu and see if it finds the audio driver for you.
It may show up under the optional downloads section after the search is done.

I deleted the driver, ran windows update and the file went on no problem. Sorry, I thought when I asked windows to search for one and couldn't find it that they didn't have one. Your right though, the other file very possibly could have work, because it turns out my monitor I guess if you mute the volume you have to actually turn it off and turn it back on for the volume to work again. Weird
