Hp pavillion slimline 400-214
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Im trying to add an ssd to my computer amd i am not sure where it goes or what accessories im going to need to install the ssd. I have a pretty basic knowledge of computers

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

 

I see you need help in upgrading the SSD, on HP Pavilion Slimline 400-214 Desktop. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you.

 

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 500GB 7200 rpm SATA hard drive installed on the PC.

 

Next thing, I would suggest here is to go through the Motherboard Specifications of your HP notebook, and found that your PC support One PCI Express half-length mini card socket.

 

To get the answer to this question, this PC does not support SSD.
