Hi,

The following suggestion could be a big waste of time. Contact HP Support or a local PC technician.

This is the last thing you could try. Good results are debatable.

Download HP Hardware Diagnostics 4-1 USB Key (Link) on a different PC. Create USB boot media. This media may be able to fix a corrupted BIOS on Supported systems. I don't know if your PC qualifies.

Try to boot to this key on your PC. I don't know if you can do anything because the BIOS is corrupted.

Start the PC. Tap "ESC".

Select "F9". Select the UEFI USB drive.

See if you can recover the BIOS. I have never worked with this software. I can't provide additional assistance.

Best wishes.

Thanks, Wil contact HP tomorrow

Hi,

You're very welcome.

Some things can't be fixed in a forum.

Option #2 is what you want, namely to write some files to an EMPTY USB memory-stick.

Then, try to boot your computer from this USB memory-stick.

Or, try the "HP Emergency BIOS Recovery" method, directing it to search through the USB memory-stick, to find the BIOS file, and to install it.

@itsmyname ,

How did you find the BIOS file? The MB SSID is correct. I tried searching for the MB SSID BIOS updates but came up empty.

That BIOS file should be available at the PC's Download site but it isn't.

Good detective work!

Thanks but no luck yet after a couple of trials.

Please elaborate. Exactly what did you try? What did you expect to happen? What really did happen? What is the exact text of any error-messages that were displayed?

Posting good "technical" messages should lead to a good "technical" response. Arm-waving with "it did not work", without defining what "it" really is, is not helpful.
