Time and date reset to 2009

HP Recommended
Model p6557c
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When my PC has been turned off for a while (over night) the date and time reset to 2009 and various times.  Is there a battery or something that requires replacement?  If so, what?

you would need to replace the battery which will be available in any store like best buy. it as circular battery which will be the size of 50 cents.
