Please try these steps. Please perform a hard reset from this link by clicking here using the other adapter that you have.
Then fire up the computer. If it still does not work, please contact HP phone support to get a replacement adapter. We still don't know whether it is the adapter or the computer that is faulty.
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.
They will be happy to assist you immediately. If the unit is under warranty repair services is taken care of by the manufacturer’s warranty

Since my PC warrantee period had been expired for too long time. I've been trying to find the replacement adapter myself.
I found some Adapter of Series hstnn-ha09, hstnn-ca27 on Amazon, then also shipped one to Vietnam. However, they shipped me a not HP part one... although the cost for product and shipping is nearly 50% the price of PC. I got refund but it took me 1.5 months for this deal. :-S.
