Hi,
I have an HP touchsmart 310-1110JP. And recently the adapter has been broken.
Adapter's part no: HP 609919-001.
I've try a new HP adpater with the same power (19.5V - 7.89 A), hp part no of this adapter is not the same to original one.
But the Touchsmart power led just blink 2 times in green then off. Cannot start the PC.
Someone on internet told that HP 609919-001 has a SENS pin which means it has an Identify IC inside that the PC can only allow only this type of adapter.
Can anyone help me to confirm which type of adapter should I buy for replacement.
thank you and best regards,
Toan.

Fabulous description and superb diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂 You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂
- Please try these steps. Please perform a hard reset from this link by clicking here using the other adapter that you have.
- Then fire up the computer. If it still does not work, please contact HP phone support to get a replacement adapter. We still don't know whether it is the adapter or the computer that is faulty.
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number, Case number and phone number appear.

Thank you very much DavidSMP,
I've tried Hard Reset but the same result.
Since my PC warrantee period had been expired for too long time. I've been trying to find the replacement adapter myself.
I found some Adapter of Series hstnn-ha09, hstnn-ca27 on Amazon, then also shipped one to Vietnam. However, they shipped me a not HP part one... although the cost for product and shipping is nearly 50% the price of PC. I got refund but it took me 1.5 months for this deal. :-S.
Back to my issue, I've just solved it by modifying the mentioned hstnn-la09 adapter a little following this link:

It just works.
#this is not a recommended solution because no guarantee that the PC will work stably. However, it nice to see my obsolete PC working again. At least I can get back my data.
Thank you verymuch for your attention and information, I really appreciate it.
Bests,
Toan.
