Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am unable to play DVD's with DVD-R format. I am currently using windows 7 64 bit version. I would like to know if my dvd drive(hp DVD A DH16ACSH) is compatible to support this format or not?

It supports DVD+/- media.  SO, the answer is yes.
