I'd like to update my firmware , but unfortunately the Softpak sp80090.exe does not seem to work in Windows for some reason.
Can anyone advise how I update in DOS using FWUpdLcl.exe and 71913272.bin
Thanks!

What BIOS do you currently have?
In the past some workstations needed to be "stair stepped" up by going first to a certain version before you could then go up to the latest.
If you can get the .bin file from the SoftPaq then you can update BIOS from within BIOS.... it is there under the first tab. Put the .bin file on the top level of a thumb drive and startup with that inserted, then navigate via BIOS.
The latest BIOS is 3.91, and the .bin file from the unpacked installed SoftPaq (DOS folder) is J63_0391.BIN That will be inside the SoftPaq folder on the root level of C in the SWSetup folder.
That is all you need, and this is the safest way to update BIOS. I do recall that very early ZX20 versions of BIOS needed the stair step method.......

Hi SDH,
First of all many thanks for your quick response.
I checked I already had the latest BIOS before attempting the firmware update, and can confirm that I have J63 V03.91 installed.
Moreover I don’t have any issues with updating the BIOS via DOS.
What I need help with is updating the Intel Management Engine Firmware to version 7.1.91.3272 WS Rev.A, as per SoftPaq SP80091.
I have FWUpdLcl.exe and 71913272.bin in the root directory of a USB stick, but I’m not sure exactly what I need to type in the DOS command line to install the update.
Anyhow I tried again to install the firmware update in windows and it seemed to work fine, requesting a reboot to complete installation as would be expected.
I thought I would check my firmware version using MEInfo to see if it indeed was the latest version (it should be 7.1.91.3272) and got the following:
