Compaq Predation CQ3540IX
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
I bought 2x4 GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM...to use on my CQ3540IX...BUT when I am starting my pc with them...it is not starting...

Even there is no way that I can find to down clock the RAM to 1333 MHz or lower

My BIOS Version is 6.07
Plz help!

Was this memory specified to work with that unit. Here are the specs.  Look at the voltages.

Modules must be the same.  Try each alone to see which works. Then get a matching module.

Is it possible that in some BIOS version...there are no DRAM settings!
