Hi

I checked and it doesnt seem to be a HDD issue. btw ur comp (as shown in the link) has integrated card but its covered. You need to uncover it.. however as your dont know if other card works too then the only option to check with a known working card.

I think we've moved past the video issue because in my last post I mentioned that when I reloaded the BIOS, I was able to reboot the system and it recognized all the devices (including the add on video card).  Unfortunately, once the system was rebooted again, it reverted back to its crippled state of not recognizing the HDD.  While the video issue was a symptom, the core issue is getting the system to recognize the HDD every time it starts.  It seems that a lot of other customers have encountered this same problem and I would like to find out what the solution is. What else can we do to correct this issue?

Thanks,

David

I have had this computer for a long time. It gave me trouble from day one. I tried all the things posted here and more to get this system to work. Nothing! After struggling with it for months I gave up and just put it on the shelf in the garage. recently I got it out to try one more thing. Pull the video card NVIDIA 9800GT and run of the motherboard video.  whoa! it works! It's been running this way now for months no problems. I believe that all this computers problems stem from the NVIDIA video card.
