I have the Task Manager up. It lists Applications, Processes, Services, Networking, Performance, and Users. What is the difference between an Application and a Process ?

Hi,

An application is a program which you interact with on the machine. It can be Word, Excel, Firefox ...

A process is an instance of a particular executable program file running. A given application may have several processes running simultaneously (several processes may be associated with the same program. Many process can be pre-loaeded with Windows.

Regards.
